I still haven't looked at the code but now I know how it works

Me and my kid tried it, memorizing each a separate card, and both were gone and from there we got the solution.

Still, a pretty amazing card-trick. Well done.

That is surprisingly effective! It fooled me but my other half couldn't see it as a trick (What's the point of it? she said) because she saw what was happening the first time she tried.
