Sleep temptation as a freelancer, and how many hours do you sleep?

I'm finding hard time to fight sleep temptation, so slept for longer hours in recent period. How to fight that? And how many hours do you sleep?

Personally I can sleep for 5 or 6 or 7 hours and be fine, however sleeps for 10 or more hours recently

Don't fight.

Like all natures call, this is too, your body is telling you to rest.
You may earn few more $$ but use it, you need healthy body.
Thank you.

While the issue is that I feel happier and satisfied when I sleep for 5 to 6 hours (4 hours at times). But when spending most of day sleeping, it feels good biologically, but I feel bad in that day. So, about how I feel, well or not

I read once that one cannot store sleep, you can only catch up on sleep So, sleeping 10 hours on one day doesn't help one when you do an 18 hour session the next day. You're going to have to catch up the loss the day after.

When Much younger I treated sleep as a waste of time....now....I keep waking up with the keyboard impression on my forehead....I guess it's trying to tell me something.

I wake up early, however by 5 am I feel like (next sleep) is too faraway, so I sleep till around the afternoon, then I can be active and feel that next sleep is just a few hours away. Want to get rid of that thought

Personally, I am not a pro developer, so my point of view is different... still...
I can spend up to 3h "staring" at the IDE, caking very small corrections, compiling, running, without real advancement on my ongoing project...
I guess it all comes down to the quality time balance... I rather sleep 8h (I actually do) and then have a very active and PRODUCTIVE morning, and then take a 2h nap, and have a less productive afternoon... Than sleeping for only 4h, do a 12h developing marathon, only to have achieved the very same stage I would have with the previous scheme. unless of course, you're @alwaysbusy

Usually on daily basis I tried to sleep at 3am but my heart beats too fast I only fall asleep at 5:50am and wake up by WhatsApp notification on 10:40am.
