Android Question set max number of char in a edit text

as title,

I've some edit text, I need that in each of it max 4 numbers should be inserted (is a credit card number splitted in 4 edit texts)

I didn't find something similar, is possible to do this?

I've seen the library charcounter but I need to block the input not only to count the number of char....
