Android Question Connecting remotely to local database in a pc using real android device(B4A-bridge).

Hello guys,

I am trying to connect remotely to a database using a real android device. I have followed the steps in JRDC2 tutorial but now I cannot retrieve data from the database(phymyadmin) when my app is running from the android device. Please check the attached screenshot.

You need to open the relevant port in Windows firewall.

1. Try using your PC Chrome browser to open the test page. In your case http://192.168.43.246:17178/test
2. Try using Android phone Chrome browser or any webview browser to open the same address.

Thank you, Yes these tests are successful but now I still cannot retrieve data on my device from MySQL database on PHPMyAdmin localhost database.

I think you need to learn to read the log line by line. Just kidding. I am not sure I learned how to read it but what I normally do is to read line by line and find something obvious and make a guess.

I have tried as suggested but still, It does not connect to the database. I am not sure what I am doing wrong but I have followed all the steps. Please check the attached it is according to the tutorial.

My IP address is 192.168.8.115 when connected to the wifi router(see attached). and i cannot connect to 192.168.8.115:17178/example. I can only connect before changing the CONFIG PROPERTIES file "test" by typing 192.168.8.115:17178/test and after changing "test" to "example" i cannot connect. check the logs below
