A blonde was speeding in a 35 mile per hour zone when a local police officer pulled her over and walked up to the car. The officer also happened to be a blonde and she asked for the blonde driver's license.

The driver searched frantically in her purse for a while and finally said to the blonde policewoman, "What does a driver's license look like?"

Irritated, the blonde cop said, "You dummy, its got your picture on it!"

The blonde driver frantically searched her purse again and found a small, rectangular mirror down at the bottom. She held it up to her face and said, "Aha! This must be my driver's license" and handed it to the blonde policewoman.

The blonde cop looked in the mirror, handed it back to the driver and said, "You're free to go. And, if I had known you were a police officer too, we could have avoided all of this."

....next time take a mirror along...

KMatle,

Liar!

you forgot to tell that the 92 is already with 10% reduction for tollerance (not all speedometers are the same).
so I guess you drove 102? (102-10%=~92)

Where did you go in Belgium?

friend of min has 90€ to pay for a 56km/h speed (reduced to 51km/h after tolerance) in a 50km/h limit zone, so don't complain too much

It was 98 reduced to 92 (average speed calculated between two checkpoints). I went to England via Belgium to catch the ferry in Calais.

The fines start at 50€ so it was the cheapest one

yeah these trajectory control cams spoil everything

with the old cams people just brake in front of them and then they put the pedal to the metal again once passed them.

Next time drive with the speed you want.. have some rest and a cup of coffee in any in-between service area using the earned time.

The problem is that you don't always see the cameras as they hang at the back of a bridge or the back of these big sign boards.
So the same goes for the end of trajectory cams so that coffee stop might already be passed the 2nd cam.

If you do that trip regulary you notice them when you drive in the opposite direction but it's a nasty trick for pass through drivers.

Today I got a 53€ fine from the Belgium police for speeding 2 km/h "too fast" (92 instead of 90)

Here in Germany you'd get a fine for driving too slow instead
Because of 3 km/h faster (63 km/h instead of 60 km/h), I have received an invitation from the Swiss police, either a night in prison or 800 euros pay.
I would have had to pay only 35 euros for the 3 km/h at the beginning, but I did not pay and after almost 2 years it had become 250 euros, in the end combing the above-mentioned invitation.
I am not allowed to drive over Switzerland for the next 3 years, otherwise I will probably not get out.

Is that all @KMatle, I strongly suggest that you avoid speeding in the UK.

Minimum fine is £100 and you WILL also received 2 penalty points on your driving license.

Sorry not 2 but 3 penalty points...

So far I have no points (lucky me) and it was my first "speeding" fine (all others for parking, each 10-15€). So let's see if I was lucky again.

Here the fines for Germany ("Fahrverbot" = You may not drive your car for e.g. 1 month). So if it's 50 you can go 70 and pay 35€ only without getting points.

Inside a town

Outside a town (highway/Autobahn)

KMatle,

that's indeed cheap fines. Also the parking one. overhere it's usually 25€ which is in some cases more than what it cost to park there the entire day.
