Hi All

I am looking for a way to compress an audio file.

Luckily with B4A, I was able to find this library (thanks to Martin) that converts a wave file to mp3 which did job for me.

is there any solution that I can use to achieve the same with B4I?

There is currently no equivalent library in B4i.

However you can record directly with MPEG4 encoding with AudioRecorder.

I am currently using AudioRecorder and all is working fine. My only worry is the file size as I have to continuously transmit these files. It seems that MPEG4 file size is around 7-8 times larger than the equivalent MP3 files (for small size files). I also tried to zip the file, but it doesn't help much.
