A question about notation

Hey,

I have a question about how to write resolutions.

At first I was very confused, because the only way i've ever seen resolutions are width/height - ie for instance 1280x800 - but in all the documentation and the designer its written the other way around, ie, hight/width - for instance 800x1280

Why is it written like that? Is there some plan that I'm overlooking, or was that just how the programmers of the app chose to write it? :)

The resolutions are written in width x height!

That's debateable.

Depending on the screen orientation you can have
800 x 1280 in portrait orientation and
1280 x 800 in landscape orientation.

Seems different to me when the manual talks about

"A non-exhaustive list of screens: Resolution 720 / 1280 "

But I think it should always be described one way, regardless of how people hold the device, but perhaps Erel thinks otherwise.
