A wild idea?

Hi,

I want to see in my car what is driving behind my caravan. I have a CCD camera with an USB connector (thick) and a PDA with an USB connector as well (small). The PDA should be the monitor.

Does any possibility exist to use these two devices for the purpose described above or is this idea too wild? Of course, when I take my laptop in the car, the problem is solved, but that solution is rather bulky.

The chances are; because your PDA has a small USB connector, it does not have any USB hosting ability. If so, you will be unable to progress any further.

My PDA has a multi-purpose connector for which I have cradles and a number of cables (e.g. USB Slave & serial; USB slave only; USB host).

I've tried connecting a USB video camera (actually a microscope, but no doubt any webcam would be similar). The PDA immediately wanted to know what driver I proposed to use. Of course I do not have one, so the experiment ended there.

However I can connect my digital SLR and other simple devices (keyboard) and they are recognised straight away.
