B4J Question [ABMaterial] How to open file in new browser tab of my ABMaterial WebApp?

Hi there

1. I have an excel document sitting in File.DirApp in my ABMaterial App on the server
2. I have a ABMButton that I want when clicked should execute a download of the document or preferably open the document in another browser Tab (this will eventually execute a download)

Now

1. How do I return my app URL for my ABMaterial WebApp?
2. Perhaps I can do an anchor for the file and execute click event, this however does not work on all browsers.. , but still I need to get the file URL thats sitting in File.DirApp.

Can someone please advise how I can do this please?

So far I have tried this...

Dim pgLink As String = ABMShared.AppPublishedStartURL & outFileName
    If ws.Open Then
        ws.Eval("window.location = arguments[0]", Array As Object(pgLink))           
        ws.Flush
    End If

and I'm getting a 404 error

404 means your url is wrong (not found)

This may work in some browsers to force a download:

ws.Eval("window.open(arguments[0],'_blank');", Array As Object(TargetUrl))  
ws.flush

I guess I was supposed to move the file to the www folder of my app and not have it sitting on File.Dirapp which is the Objects folder. Let me try again.. thanks

or use a relative path, as you would do with an image: "../../whatever/yourfile.xlsx"

Thanks @alwaysbusy, silly me, used my server url, im still in debug mode. Perfect it works, will create a Reports folder and use the relative path method. Good shot!
