B4J Question About Java Runtime

Hello!
I would like to ask you if it is a good option to run a web socket server application with the -d64 option that enables the Java HotSpot VM. Is it enough to run my application with a VM heap with a size over 4GB?
Is it necessary to tune any other parameters or the defaults are generally OK?
Note that my app uses a database thread pool with max 2048 connections and the web socket concurrent connections are ~850 by now.

I would start with the default settings (using the latest version) and only if you actually see any performance issue start modifying the configuration.

Assuming that you are using a 64 bit JVM then you don't need to add -d64 to support large heap sizes.
