Android Question Add & open GMAIL account

Hi to all,
is there a way to programmatically ad a new GMAIL account (if it doesn't already exist) and open it in order to show the inbox to the user?

A Custom account is not the same as a GMail account, the latter I doubt will be possible since it's a security breach.
