When I try , I get the following error compiling:

ERROR: resource directory 'c:\androidsdk\extras\google\google_play_services\libproject\google-play-services_lib\res' does not exist

It seems that using:

#AdditionalRes: C:\AndroidSDK\extras\google\google_play_services\libproject\google-play-services_lib\res, com.google.android.gms


There is no libproject folder in C:\AndroidSDK\extras\google\google_play_services\ .....

Do I have something missing ?

Why don't you want to use Firebase? This is Google's recommended way. It will take you 5 minutes to configure it.

you need to place the google-services.json in your projectdir.
You get the json when you configure your app in firebase. See Firebase-Setup-Tutorial

I think the problem is in android:theme="@android:style/Theme.Translucent" />

#AdditionalJar: com.google.android.gmslay-services-ads

Make sure to add a reference to FirebaseAdMob library.
