No, on about 27 seconds into the video they say 'just install the SDK' - that's the bit where you connect with B4A, the programming bit, just as you always have had to do.

You want an interstitial advert. I'm not entirely sure how you do that with Admob and B4A, but I suspect that you 'simply' add it as per the main tutorial and then select a different type.
You are misunderstanding. Admob requests are advert requests, i.e. when your advert is requested to be displayed in your App. The revenue in Admob is typically a few cents per click.
Admob doesn't know how many downloads the App has had and indeed doesn't really care, although it is my understanding that they will use this to verify that if an App generates a significant amount of revenue that this comes from different locations (which it does know about) and also the number of downloads the App has, but then again Google Play is not the only market.
You can earn a decent amount from advertising, but in my opinion you need a significant number of downloads and by that I mean 1M+ Some of the numbers quoted by Admob talk about RPM i.e. revenue generated as a relative value to the number of 1000 impressions. But this is more a guide as to the performance of you advertising. For Admob revenue is only generated when someone actually clicks an advert. It's a bit of a scattergun approach, but it does work, the numbers are fairly linear, so you can see the effect of it all and you just need to ramp up the number of installs by creating something that is interesting and people will use.
Yep, well actually it's more about active users than downloads, but hopefully the two are analogous. or investigate other ways of making money... It depends on how much you want to make, but you can make money from advertising, you just make more if you've got more downloads.

I'll see what I can do, but as mentioned it will be next week. I don't use full page ads, but it shouldn't take too long to try it out... famous last words of course!
