Bug? Android 4.2.2 and WebView

Hello,

I have a big Problem with Android 4.2.2 and webview i Have Attached some Pictures who shows my problem witch i Have under Android 4.2.2 with Android 4.1.2 its all fine.




On the Pictures you can see that the webpage will sometimes be broken.
But sometimes the page will loaded fine.
How can i fix this problem ?

Sorry for my bad english !!

i use B4A 2.71

Seems like an issue in the native WebView component. Can you post the link to this page?

to view the page as mobile you must set the User Agent in your browser to kiwuweb-app

How do you load it to the WebView?

hi,

i open it with :

main.url ="http://kleinersonnenschein.de/forum/forum.html"

WebView1.LoadUrl(Main.Url)

and bevore i set the useragent to "kiwuweb-app"

How do you set the user agent? With one of the extended WebView libraries?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in the manifest editor. It might help.

hi,
i set the userAgent with the Reflectionlib

B4X:

  Dim Obj1 As Reflector
  Obj1.Target = WebView1
  Obj1.Target = Obj1.RunMethod("getSettings")
  Obj1.RunMethod2("setUserAgentString", UserAgent, "java.lang.String")

it seems to work without the hardware accerlation but i wait of some feedback from my Beta Tester
but i dont Understand why this happens is this now a bug in Android or from B4A?

no problem!
I have found some threats in other Community's and they wrote that this problem exists since Android 4.0.0 on Some Smartphones blinking Some areas on other Smatphones the webpage will appear so how you can see on my first posting.
To solve This Problem add:

B4X:

AddManifestText(
.....
.....
.....
SetApplicationAttribute(android:hardwareAccelerated, "false")
)

to your Manifest file and the problem is fixed
