Android Question Android Wifi-Direct Problem connection

Hello All,

I'm using this tutorial to connct two devices,

However, when I peer the to devices and push connect button, i get this error message:

(ErrnoException) android.system.ErrnoException: recvfrom failed: ETIMEDOUT (Connection timed out)

Pleas any help

Hard to say. It is possible that your devices do not fully support this (esoteric) feature.

Yeah, Today I'll try with other devices,

I'm A teacher at university, and I developed an application so the student can confirm their presence by their smartphone, I finished to develope the app, However i'm using an online database! the problem is that not all student have internet on their smartphones! So I wanted to make a local network, then students can can use a database that is stored on the techer device! I tryied to use wifidirect but as you said not all devices supports that feature!

Using an access point is much simpler. You don't need to do anything special from the app side.
