Bug? App icon blank on iPad if target is iPhone only.

I have been testing an iphone only app on my iPad.

I noticed that the icon appeared blank, not even the usual blue one.

I finally realised that if the target is set to
the icon appears, if it is set to

the icon is blank.

If installed on an iphone then the icon is ok.

I haven't tested this in release mode yet, but it works this way in development mode.

If I remember correctly, Apple doesn't allow you to submit iPhone apps only. There is no reason to limit the target to iPhone only.

It sounds like an OS issue.
