Hi all
Can everyone has experience in app marketing to share us his/her experience ...

My case: my app is professional accounting app (not game).
I published my app in google play for 2 months ago, I spent 80$ facebook ads in 10 days, I got only 1000 download.
I stopped facebook ads, because it is expensive for app distribution if compared to google-admob income.

Everyone: Can you tell us your methods of distributing apps, please?
What are the best low-cost methods?

If I recall right there are some posts about marketing by ilan but the result weren't too good.

I'll see if I can find it.

By the way... 1000 in 10 days is far from bad.

This is a hotly discussed topic on the web in general, not particularly on b4x.com; and I believe that there are no absolute certainties in this regard (also because it depends on many factors, perhaps the most important of these is the type of app / sw)

By the way... 1000 in 10 days is far from bad.
If they were free (not cost $ 80) and were installations, not just downloads that could become 10 installations only.

A download on Play is an installation, and an installation on Play is a download ;)

You probably mean an ad click vs install?

indeed but that's where the marketing did his job already.

it's leading to a product and attempt to sell (install) it.

what happends after that is beyond markering.

even then an average of 100 install per day should give some good visibility in that period.

IMHO, it's no use to try to develop\publish on Play Market an independent app to earn by it, latest 2-3 years already.
Without active paid promotion the new app is almost invisible for the end-users among tons of apps. That mostly are free.
IMHO, now only free app can be developed as an extra mobile service for a main commercial project that makes money.

0.08$/install with facebook is very good. the question is how many people leave your app installed.
try to make your campaign more aggressive and get 1000 installs per week. this will confuse google play algorithm and put your app in the top of the list and that will bring you free installs. it is not cheap to market your app. i spent until today more then 1000$ on app marketing and still did not get the result i wanted (even not near to what i wanted)
what i used for marketing is: facebook, google adsense, youtube videos by youtubers with lot of subscribers, forums, friends/family, printed flyers and more.
sometimes i think it simpler to create an app then promote it ?

Hi everyone.

I don't often post in the forum, but let's share my experience.
Monthly Download:
1st month 100 downloads (my friends)
2nd month 800
3rd month 3000
... 7 month 9000
without $ marketing investment.

I first asked my friends to download the app and give it a rating. User rating and responses to reviews (with app name keywords, etc.) are essential.
It is also important that the application with the same "id" is published in other stores (Amazon, Huawei ...)

This is my experience with 2 apps.

One application with a total download of about 10,000 is on google top charts.
The other one with over 40,000 downloads is not listed, but in the google play stors search engine it ranks among the top 5

indeed, that's what I mentioned before. As long as you stay in sight (show up in the top 250 or whatever it is) things go well/fast.

from the moment you get out of it the download counter is crawling slowly.
