Apple and their holidays

Oh boy,

Everyone has the right for holiday and I wish everyone the best for this seasonal time of holidays.

But apple seems to be closed for a week (22-29) and they even don't allow or process new app submissions, updates, in-app purshase mods etc...

I guess we'll need to wait 2+ weeks now just to have an app passed due to the backlog they're creating during this week.

It's about time that they start optimizing/automating things overthere.

I respect companies that respect their employes.

I understand that this act is making us developers angry but if you think about it i dont know much companies that close completly everything only because every person has the right to be with his famaly at holiday.

And apple is a very big company so respect from me

No worry, during this time, you can go shopping Apple (better than submitting apps), the Apple stores are opened

actually, it's not a gift from employer to employee. they probably lose these days from their total amount of holidays.

I don't think all employee live in countries where they celebrate christmas either that's what's strange.

I rather expect a lower amount of working people like it is everywhere else.

Yes it is frustrating, but instead of being mad you can use this time to implement new features or squash more bugs

Also note this has been their standard practice every year since App store opened. So next year expect the same and work around it.

nothing special, just an optimized port of CLAUStrophobia but now that xmas has passed already it's kind of pointless

Jon: I got mails to renew my dev account but nothing about their holiday tho.
