Apple wants to kill PWA...

We just have to wait until the final version of the new iOS comes out. It could be a bug while they implement the DMA for the EU, and it could be because of this DMA, Apple is just being an a$$hole again by following it to the letter:

In the EU, no browser can be disciminated in their functionality or the engine they use.

The intent of this is that e.g. PWA's should be allowed to be installed by ANY browser, not only Safari.

So instead of also allowing the other browsers to install PWAs so that they are all 'equal', Apple 'could' choose to remove the PWA functionality in Safari instead, also making all browsers 'equal', and by doing so, they do follow the DMA rules. Would of course be a dick move.

Time will tell which path they are taking...
