Auto install ?

Hi, do you know how to instal a .apk by programmation ?

if it's not possible, do you know how to execute a programme like "file explorer "
by programmation ?

Ok, thks but it's not that i want (sorry) . I have developed an application who download .apk on FTP server. i would like to execute automatically this apk after downloading.

The end user has to choose to install an apk, but if its a market app then when downloaded it automatically installs and also if they download it with their web browser when they open the download folder and select the apk file it should also install the apk.

You cannot make it download and auto install other than by uploading it to the Android market but most browsers and file explorers will install it automatically when a user clicks on the apk file.

As Dave wrote, it is not possible to install an APK file without the user approving the installation. This is a security restriction.
