wheretheidivides .. for years I utilized random access files for data storage because of numerous failed attempts at learning SQL /SQllite Access ect. due to over the top complex tutorials. Since purchasing B4a September last year ,with the help of Forum members with a few questions, some reading and a very helpful website,
w3Schools / SQL Tutorial I now have SQLite database (8 Tables) up and running, and to be honest still scratching my head how simple it has been. (what did I miss over all those years ???)
Yes , I might be only touching on the basics , inserting records, deleting, Updating, sorting ,searching and retrieving but at this stage thats all I need. Probably the best thing I did was start a small app for that sole purpose, Create a new database and populate it with three 3 columns off data , then experimented with deleting , retrieving
ect . As it got more complex and I was more confident with it ,It was then applied to my working app.
Without knowing the complexity of your database needs (which might be over my head) you are welcome to pm me and well take one step at a time.
Cheers mj
