B4A Bridge not working reliably

I am trying to use the B4A Bridge but I find it unreliable. I can get a connection and do an upload to my Droid3. Then it will disconnect and I'll spend the next 10 mins+ trying to get it connected again. Am I not doing something right? I have a broadband wifi setup in my house. Is this the only way to get an upload to my phone?

In most cases B4A-Bridge should work reliably. I work with it connected for hours with no problem. Sometimes the firewall or the router configuration can break the connection.

Can you please check the unfiltered logs and see if there are any related messages?

If your device supports USB debugging then you can use it instead. This is the best option. B4A-Bridge is intended for devices that do not support it.

I think my Droid3 supports USB debugging. I did plug in a USB cable from my phone to my PC but I couldn't get a upload to go to it. Do I have to configure something else? I's sure like to use the USB cable if I could. Thanks.

You should enable USB debugging on your device. Usually found under: Settings - Developer options.

You may also need to install a driver for your specific device. List of available drivers: OEM USB Drivers | Android Developers
