I have tried to install the B4A Bridge APK from Post #14 on https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/b4a-v7-01-has-been-released.79908/#content

The SHA1 hash of the APK that I have downloaded from https://www.b4x.com/android/files/b4a_bridge.apk is:
C827522E98E87A1452E6C0F5A73871617516F62D b4a_bridge.apk

but trying to install on an Android 4.4.2 tablet only results in " X App not installed" message.
I have "allow apps from unknown sources" CHECKED.

I have tried installing with APK on sdcard and also copied into /mnt/sdcard/Download

Any ideas?

Tried that, installing 2.31 after uninstalling, still "X App not installed"

Would the first install attempt over the existing app mess up anything to prevent reinstalls?

Couldn't find a USB driver for the tablet but I got the problem fixed. For some reason the B4A bridge APK was corrupted on the sdcard (did a hash compare).

But I have a suggestion for B4A bridge - could you change the color of the grey line (bottom of activity) that changes to blue as compiled programs are transferred? That blue is not easy to see against the while background. How about red or orange?

Also, is it possible to extend the timeout for B4A before the download aborts/connection breaks? There are some times that I have to reconnect (F2 on PC side) and then download again (F5) because the grey line stops progress from grey to blue. Not sure if it is a poor wifi signal (have more than 2 bars).
