Which language are you using? The appear here when English is selected.

In the beta version b4a i have no underscore with the file menu even in english, in german there are no underscores in all top level menus, so only mouse menu is useable.
I now have checked with german version in b4j and the problem is the same.

The accelerators are missing in the german translation. If you like you can edit the Google Sheet and add underscores (see the English phrases).

Not sure why you don't see them when English is selected. Try to set it to English and then restart the IDE.

The restart solved the missing underscore in file menu.

If you don't see them, maybe they are disabled in the Windows settings. This was the case on my computer.

They will not appear in the German translation because the relevant phrases are missing the underscores that mark the accelerator key.

I was seeing the same thing, however as Klaus pointed out I didn't have the underscores turned on in my Windows 10 settings. Once I turned them on, I could see them. One behavior that I find odd though (with or without the underscores turned on) is that in the B4A IDE, if I press & hold ALT-F, it doesn't work. I have to press & release ALT, then press F for the File menu to open. By contrast, if I press ALT-F in Windows File Manager, the File menu opens.

I've noticed that direct after switching the IDE language from "German" to "English" only the Hotkey for "File" is missing, the other menu top elements are just normal.

After Restart of the IDE "File" has the Hotkey underline.

So I consider this "solved" so far...
