iOS Question b4i IDE not starting correctly after security update on win10

I use b4i on a windows 10 Surface Pro. Today I had to update my computer and now b4i is no longer working. The program seems to start but then I get only the outer frame of the program window as a shadow and nothing else. I tried to reinstall b4i and also to downgrade to older versions but to no luck.
BTW the same happens with the b4a IDE

Any suggestions?

Have you tried to restart the computer?

What is the exact windows version?

I restarted the computer. I uninstalled b4i and reinstalled but still nothing. My version is win10 Vers 1703.

This version was released on April. I'm sure that there are many developers using it.

My guess is that the problem is related to the display driver. Try to update it.

The drivers are up to date as is my computer. Actually I guess the problem lies there. Yesterday morning b4i was working only after the cumulative update it didn't work anymore. It seems I am the only one having this issue (maybe the only one working with a surface Pro 4?). I removed the cumulative update KB4025342 but this does not resolve the issue. I guess the problem is with all the surface driver updates installed automatically at the same time. Unfortunately I don't know any mechanism to uninstall them and bring back the old state of my surface pro.

You can check Windows Event Viewer. Maybe there will be more information there (unlikely but worth a try).

Unfortunately nothing there, no log entries. Meanwhile I installed b4i on via virtualbox on my Mac. Maybe I find out how to fix the problem with my surface pro and I will post the solution here.
