No, I didn't. I have two accounts on the PC: administrator and user.
The first one is used only for OS updates (or when strictly required).
I mostly suspect the firewall which could have managed the installation in a "container" or some other temporary, protected area.
Once FW configuration was updated it may have caused the problem and/or its subsequent solution.
It's not the first time that my software FW causes glitches (mainly because I forget to set or update some rules), but as long as it protects my PC I'm ok with it.
