B4ppc with Ipaq 3950

I have a prospective user who downloaded my evaluation version but can't get it to work. He has an Ipaq 3950 running windows ce 3.0. He didn't describe the details but it probably is not compatible since the docs say windows 5.0 and above. I told him to try installing the net cf 2.0 on the device to see if that does anything. Is there any work-around or am I flogging a dead horse? Thanks for any advice or solution. My experience here has been outstanding.

I'm afraid so! I think it is too old to support .NET. I'm pretty sure that WinCE 4.0 or later is required for the Compact Framework but even then Basic4ppc might not work well/at all as it is really meant to run on Pocket pc/Windows Mobile.

Thank you for your swift reply. I was afraid of that but thought it was worth a try. Perhaps he should invest in a later device. Have a great weekend.
