B4X is DEFINITELY the best cross-platform development tool(s) ever; but...

I think it all depends on the name of the creator or seller of the product.
Imagine for a moment if Microsoft had created or sold B4X (B4A, B4J, etc.)
It would have killed every other competing product !!!
I'm sure Erel and the B4X community would hate even the thought of it, but if Microsoft did purchase B4X tomorrow, I think it would fly. Unless you are using Visual Studio continuously, it is a nightmare to pick up and knock-out a quick VB.Net (or C#) app. And trying to do anything cross-platform (i.e. Apple) .. .well, basically I gave up at the first step! I think B4X would sit very nicely alongside Visual Studio, perhaps using VS Code as the IDE, targeting the hobbyist until it has the user base to enter the professional field.

Yes, I also believe that the best versions of Windows were XP and W7. Like you, I continue to use XP in a virtual machine to keep using MS-DOS applications for my grandchildren!!!

In my personal opinion from my experience as a salesman: The app is built in B4X, but it lacks charm. Many times, we all create many libraries that are so common that users are confused about which one to use. It is like we have many of the same products, but buyers do not know which one to buy.
