I'm not sure I understand the question.
In the two (three) environments (B4A, B4J, B4I) there is no default project type, you can choose (e.g. B4J):

In general, it is always worthwhile to create a B4XPages project, even if you are developing for only one operating system.

Note: the MyB4XPages type in the image is... my custom type

Then you should write a "Wish"; there is no default project.
