Answer from a moderator:I have a special calculator with its own keypad that has 4 EditText boxes. I want to use a button to switch between the 4 EditText boxes.
@rckb2: Try to use EditText1.RequestFocus in the Button_Click event.closed as not a real question by Bill the Lizard♦ 1 hour ago.
It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. See the FAQ.
I totally agree, but on this occasion I don't think it worked very well.I think that it is important to carefully try new methods.
I think adding tags other than Basic4Android makes it open for others that don't know Basic4Android to view and comment on.
If they don't understand the question then they may feel it is in-appropriate and down vote it.
Try sticking to just the Basic4Android tag. It'll be found by the people that can answer your question best.
I loathe Stack Overflow. the moderators are too full of themselves and I hate the typically American triteness of "badges" and "reputation". I don't go there any more.

Well, StackOverflow is a huge comunity and I have found it very useful over the years, especially when having a certain urgency to get my problem resolved. Any time of the year and even in the middle of night, it is rather easy to get a reply. On overall I like SO but I must agree that it is better, at least for now, that B4A stays here at the forum. Of course, SO is a great way to get B4A better known but at the end of the day, I think users will eventually find B4A when searching for something they don't understand in Java/Eclipse and realize it can be done easily in B4A (in an easy dialect of VB). In this way, the B4A-comunity will grow further.
Very often I get the impression, not only at SO, that people think B4A is a toy-language. If they only knew.......
If one uses SO, one should definitely only use the Basic4Android-flag. Not only for the reasons mentioned by Steve above but also to avoid that helful and friendly SO-users "looses precious time" by giving legitimate replies in Java just because the Android-flag was included or B4A was not mentioned at all. I am surprised. I would have thought that SO would be the ideal place for a person like you Agraham i.e. I mean with all the knowledge you have, you would have been notorius on SO by now.....although I prefer you being here.
Just my thoughts.
hmmmmmm lol
What's the difference between medals/awards and badges? lol
Android Development Forum - Basic4android - View Profile: agraham
The difference is the awards in here are for actually being of use to the community - most of the SO ones are just for "jumping through hoops" set by the site.
If I had my way agraham (and klaus) would be awarded "Superhero" status on here as they make so much difference to the forum.
Erel knows, from past private correspondence, that I don't like medals either but apparently others value them whereas I do not. What's the difference between medals/awards and badges?
