Hi Erel,

I've not been around much lately but still like to tinker with B4PPC now and then.
Will the Beta be compatible with Windows 7?

I believe that a stated aim of Windows 7 is to be compatible at all levels, including drivers, with Vista to avoid the shortage of drivers and the application incompatibilities that plagued the launch of Vista (I remember it well :(, even Visual Studio 2005 didn't work properly at first :BangHead:).

I would be astonished if anything that ran under Vista had problems under Windows 7.

I am running W7 and so far everything has worked using Vista drivers and programs.
I'd be more than happy to give B4PPC a light testing.
It's surprised me by just how good the new operating system is, having tended to stay with XP because I didn't like Vista and I wasn't really expecting very much but it does feel more finished. It doesn't appear to hog system resources as much, which is very welcome and there is more control over UAC and other sysem settings.

Hi Erel,

I have installed WM6.5 and it works without problem.

In the new version may be compiled for 400X800 WVGA screens "HTC TOUCH HD" and WVGA 480X800 " HTC TOUCH DIAMOND2"?

I'll post a list tomorrow morning (together with the release).

In the new version may be compiled for 400X800 WVGA screens "HTC TOUCH HD" and WVGA 480X800 " HTC TOUCH DIAMOND2"?
You can also compile such applications today. The new version will make it easier though.

I installed the new version to a new directory.

The install process deleted most of the old files from the original directory.

1 file what wasn't deleted was the licence.txt
The new version wouldn't run until I copied licence.txt to the new dir

Win Vista Home Basic :)

Oh, It also deleted all 'my' .cs and .dll files from the old dir, but left copies
of all the basic4ppc .dll files.

Is there a problem installing a 2nd copy of Basic4ppc.

The Start Menu link to V6.50 is also invalid because the original
DBasic.exe has been removed from the original dir.

Edit: This is on the Desktop.
I've not installed the device version yet.

After having read agrahams problem I did this workaround, before installing the new version:
- renamned the Folder of version 6.5 from Basic4ppc Desktop to Basic4ppc Desktop_6_5
- installed the new version in a new folder Basic4ppc Desktop_6_75

Without any problem or loss of files.

Best regards.
