You can connect multiple devices over wifi like they do.

I don't think that they can actually cause other apps to show on multiple devices. Have you tested it?

It is possible to show images and movies that there app handles.

There is no special API for that. You will need to do the hard work yourself. Split the image and send it to each of the connected devices.

It is not a real video however. For a real video streaming you will need to implement a protocol such as mjpeg.
