B4J Question BT Question on 60184

Just starting to look at BT with B4J for the first time.
Found the 2015 library
Ran the B4J test app.
It only finds one device, a cell phone.

Windows 10 system, about 1.5 years old.
The W10 settings for BT (Bluetooth & other devices, Add Bluetooth or other device) is able to find quite a few devices of various types (phone, TV, firesticks) including the device I'd like to connect to.

Does this library have some restrictions on device?

Do we need a library update?

jBluetooth can only be used to connect to devices that support the SPP profile (virtual serial port).

Over the weekend I read quite a bit.
My target device is BLE.
I was able to successfully work with it in B4A (reading and writing and notifications).

Is SPP required to be able to map a com port to BLE device in W10, to be able to use jSerial?
This device has the ff00 service with ff01/ff02 vendor custom serial, so I think I'm out of luck for accessing it using B4J.

It will not work. SPP is a classic Bluetooth profile.

I found that (from the Microsoft store) the W10 Bluetooth LE app is able to see many BLE devices including my target, and list the services and characteristics, and I can write and read data. So if that App can, it should be possible to accomplish in B4J. I did not yet look for prior work to wrap.
