Android Question Button property background

I see this very interesting page:

I bought B4a rel 8.0, a few days ago, but I have not found "background" and other property in my program.

Why?

That thread is about Text properties (Button1.Text).

Buttons and all other Views have the Background property.

@Giusy .. while that tutorial covers all products under the B4X banner , b4a, B4i & b4j ... the images were from B4J IDE Designer.

That would explain the missing "background properties" as the designer properties vary slightly.

B4J is the free desktop development app. (and an excellant one 2) .. https://www.b4x.com/b4j.html

I did a program with b4a and now?
What's is the rapport between b4a and b4j.
B4a have activity ... B4j have a form... yes...I am very confused

B4A is for developing apps for Android devices .. and I believe this is the reason you purchased it.

B4J you can create Java based programs / apps for use on desktop /PC's

They are two different animals .. but the coding is similar in nature. Have you had any previous experience with Visual Basic .? .. think B4J.

You will find a few more resent tutorials / videos will be presented in B4J ... but with some minor tweaking the presented code still works with the other two products.

You do not need B4J at all to develop a Android app... it was only a suggestion , as the software is offered free.


Just this weekend I have taken a completed B4A Android phone app and exported everything to my PC (b4J ) and changing / tweaking some code differences
I nearly have an identical PC Desktop app to the tablet version .. wich will eventually share data via cloud database.
