Calendar entries disappear in Android 4.1.1

Hi

I have written an app for personal use which adds entries to the Google calendar. It works fine in 2.2.2 on my Moto Defy but I have just got a Galaxy Nexus running 4.1.1 and the entries stay fleetingly in the calendar for up to a minute or so and then just vanish into the ether.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received as I am now having to carry two phones around with me.

Just to update, tried it on my Motor XOOM running 4.0.4 and it works just fine, must be a jelly bean bug.

Just an update on this. . .
I am running the app on a Samsung Galaxy Nexus which I got a couple of weeks ago. Out of the box it did 3 consecutive updates to get to 4.1.1 and I assumed all was well with it, however, it was really getting to me so I decided to bite the bullet and do a factory reset, lo and behold it now works just as it does on the other devices.
I guess there is a lesson in there somewhere.
