camera mode orientation

Hi,

I viewed the camera tut and read, that until now it is only useable in landscape mode. Is there any chance to get a version for portrait in the near future?

How can I quickly switch preview mode on and off?

The Camera library will be eventually updated to support more features. However the camera native API is not consistent between devices making it pretty difficult to develop a reliable library.

Have you tried StartPreview and StopPreview?

I'm working on a viewer to see infrared signals. e.g. from remote controls.
I need only a small view for this. The whole app is in only portrait, so
the viewer activity has to be in portrait, too.

I just need this "simple" feature. Any chance to get a "small" update for the camlib?
