Is there any way to get my app to take a photo without displaying the camera controls onscreen? Possibly making this more effort is the fact that I'm using the front camera on a Nexus 7 which seems notorious for camera issues.
I'm doing a time and attendance app and want to grab a photo of the user at the time that they use an NFC card to scan. The user would have no control of the camera.
As an aside, does anyone have any reccomendations for a device similar in ability, build and price to the Nexus 7? It seems to be sold out more often than not.
