iOS Question Can Apple App be restricted to certain users

I am almost done converting my B4A app to B4i and am starting to plan the upload to Apple. I know very little about the Apple ecosystem.

My B4i app is meant only for my own business users - not the general public. Can access to the app, once available on the Apple Store, be restricted to only my own business users? The app has a login screen where a password is required to even enter the app so security is not really an issue but I do not want it available to the general public.

Check your App license. (iOS Developer Program or iOS Developer Enterprise Program)

But if it's for private use (if you have any iOS Developer license), and the total users is 100< then you could distribute your app just using:

this way you don't need to public your App on Apple Store

in the other hand, if your App has login then then it's not really important if you public your App on Apple Store, you can control who will have access to your App, but in this case Apple will review your App before publishing it

So what does Apple look for during the review process? Do they actually run the app to peruse its functions or do they dismatle it to look at the code, or both?
