Hi,
I am new in basic4android.
I already got my first testprogram running on my device, using b4a-bridge. But when using the emulator, I every time got the error in the title. I can continue , the emulator shows and runs my testprogram, but I am unable to stop or pause it. I can only close b4a and restart everytime. When trying to stop, I get the message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" (see attachements)
What am i missing ?
Yes, it works fine with b4a-bridge.
I simply run myfirstprogram on an XP pc
But I think I have another version of the AVD manager (v21.1), because the screens look slightly different than in the guides. (see attachement)
I did install first the trial version, which i did not remove before installing the real version.

Note that if you have a real device then it is better to use it instead of the emulator.
There is probably a conflict with the required port. It is possible to modify the port by editing the settings file. If you are interested then I can post the instructions.
Try this:
1. Close the IDE.
2. Open: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Anywhere Software\Basic4android
3. Edit the ini file.
4. Set DesignerDesktopPort to a different port and try again.
