Android Question Changing app signature in Google Store

hi,

i have an old app in google play store
it is of course signed (with the old style signature)

now i have a new app and it had to be signed with the new style (RSA)

i see that B4A manages the signature as a central common recourse so if i set the new one it also applies to the old one

my question is - can i change the old app's signature to the new one and still it will be the same app as far as my users see?
so they will keep on getting updates etc?

or should i change the signature each time per each app ?

thank you

What happens when you try uploading a new version to the store?

i don't dare to upload as i can't afford any issue with live users
it is a live application with many active users so if anything happens and the app will be for some reason handled as another or new one they will not get updates (if i am right)
that is why i have asked - to prevent such issue

Much more probable that you won't be able to change it, than easily break.

You don't have to release it. Just upload it to a production track. You can then delete the track. This will NOT affect your already released app in ANY way.
