Check for device before compiling

When compiling and running, would it be possible for the IDE to check that a device is connected before compiling?

Not a big problem, but it can be irritating & I never seem to learn..!

Especially that first compile of the day that seems to take 3x as long only to find out the device is either unplugged or didn't stay connected.

Something in that same area to check if the program even needs to be compiled would be a plus too. If same apk file or app is already installed there is no need to recompile and reinstall, just to run it.

LC has a menu that will allow you to select your device.
Physical Phone or Emulator or Tablet etc.

So you don't have to select each and every time.

Whichever way you choose, it compiles first then checks to see if a device is connected. I was just suggesting it might check before compiling, one for a future update perhaps!

Love the new version by the way & look forward to getting to grips with classes.

Note that you do not need to select the target device each time by using Background compilation (Alt + 3).

Thanks Erel.
I'd like to do this with the mouse clicking a command button instead of the KB.
(I'm a mouse guy as I've already got me left hand on the physical device.
