B4J Question Check or set system volume (PC)

I am building a countdown timer and realised that if the user set the volume down the timer alert will not be heard. So I would like to either
1) Check volume levels and alert the user if low
2) Get original volume, set volume high for alert and then return to original volume.

Are you playing the sound with MediaPlayer? Have you tried to change the volume with MediaPlayer.Volume?

Hi Erel,

Thank you for the response. I can set the volume of media player, but if the master volume is low or muted the mp volume has no effect (no sound is heard). So I would like to warn the user that the count down timer will not be heard as the master volume is turned down. (Or alternatively adjust the master volume when the counter is completed.
