After a short struggle with Google I finally got this app released today:

Thanks to B4A it only took me a couple of hours to write the code (the settings menu takes most time). Here are some pictures:

The wallpaper only runs when your screen is on and you are looking at it. Now does it drain more battery than a static wallpaper, of course...

I meant draining while not using not the device, apparently not.

It also stops when going in an app or the app list?

I think that depends on the device. It does not stop on my galaxy note 3 or edge, but it does seem to on my nexus 7 2013.

By the way, here's how a live wallpaper looks on a galaxy note edge. This is the device with two screens (regular + curved edge). It seems like live wallpapers extend to the second curved screen (the area on the right with icons is the curved screen)...
