Hi Guys

The Community Map is at 0,00001% of total forum users.... Surprised? Don't be...
If we take a good look at the various sub-forums, we will see that the most present users in the forum are also present in the community Map, so I'm happy with it's success.
I just moved my location since I'm permanently moving to the Gironde French department.
I know there are a lot more French devs using B4X products, so please, step up and sign-in to the community Map. Statistically, UK devs take about 35% of the Community Map locations, so its time to level things up!!!

I think for there to be any kind of substantial success populating a Community Map it needs to be done so from within the site. I for one am not going to "Register" at a third party site to enter my location. Not worth my time, and I don't want to submit my personal info elsewhere.

I am also one who does not put personal information all over the Internet.

I can't remember what the exact sign-up procedure was, but I'm sure it was not too intrusive – or I wouldn't have done it.

For the map location address information all I put down was my city name. I think only my B4X username and maybe my first name are the only other pieces of information I entered.

As a user, I really enjoy this feature. I "visit" the areas were others live by utilizing the Street View feature after zooming the map. It is really interesting to see where others are located.

I have added the second marker to the African continent. Time for the other members of this continent to start adding their flags....

Agreed ... although I have now pinned my plot , I abondoned my first attempt halfway through registration a few months back for this exact reason.

OK - I've been using B4A now since May. Working great. I've got two apps well underway.
I'd still like to meet other local users ( Jericho, NY, USA )

I'm still learning but I thought I'd offer now that I have a few months under my belt,
if anyone else is starting new and local to me, I'd be happy to meeting
and share what I've learned so far.
