Conflicting version?

Trying out to find the most recent version of the code I am working on, in the folder where the opened B4A file is located there is an older file beginning with the same name but ending with "conflicting version 1.b4a". Also, the main.bal file is labeled like that ("main (conflicting version 1).bal").
My question is, under which circumstances does one get files named like that?
Thanks, positrom2

Thanks Erel,
Are you using any version / source control?
The IDE will never create such files.
Yes, I am using "Autover" (beanland.net.au/AutoVer/]BeansPlace (Beta 2.2)) for version control.
But, if I am going to restore a previous version I am explicitely asked for "restore as" - no other option - and I myself would not use the "conflicting version" addendum.

Also, I remember that I had encountered a similar issue (once) in the beginning of using B4A, prior to using a version control system.
At that time I saw the message "conflicting version" on the screen and the B4A IDE crashed. (Using XP SP3).
So, it remains mysterious "who" might deliver the conflicting version file name addendum.
