Android Question Confused: appcompat & androidX

I'm using the AppCompat library (https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/t...compatible-with-older-android-versions.48423/) in my projects.

Now I'm a bit confused on what to do. This library needs the appcompat from sdk 28, but when using the latest B4A, appcompat 1.0.2 from androidX is installed...

AppCompat is based on support libraries which are deprecated.
Support libraries have been replaced by AndroidX (see the link i posted as an answer to you in another thread).

Hmmm yeah, I guess people are going to run into this a lot now... The install instructions for several libraries are not correct anymore.

You don't need to do anything special except of running Jetifier after downloading the libraries (and then clean the project).
