Connect to WiFi AP programatically

I seek expressions of interest regarding a new commercial opportunity for anyone with the required experience and skills.

The requirement is to develop a new WLAN/WiFi code module that we can incorporate into our existing B4A and B4i applications that will provide the following capabilities:

- Automatic selection of and connection to a WiFi Access Point using a pre-authenticated SSID and Password stored within the app. The user would be notified when their device's WiFi connection is about to change so they can provide permission;
- The APs being connected to are Cisco Meraki high density Wi-Fi access points. The project is being co-developed with Cisco;
- There will be no connection required to the public internet - these Meraki devices are to be used only as a private IP connection exchanging very small amounts of data to a proprietary VHF IP wide-area radio network which we are already building;
- Thousands of smartphones will connect, however each Meraki AP will only support around 500 simultaneous WLAN connections. So a requirement for the B4A and B4i module will be to periodically connect, exchange data and immediately disconnect, allowing each AP to be shared with thousands of devices more evenly.

If you are interested, please contact me via email ralph@broadwickconnect.com and I will provide further detail about this somewhat specialised use case. Although we've already had a proposal to do the entire project using another dev platform, our preference is for B4X if possible.

Warm regards,

Thanks kindly for the suggestion.

At this stage I have to admit that I've not tried anything. We are hoping to find someone external who is interested in doing this part of the project. However, if I am unable to attract the right level of interest, then I will be sure to give MLwifi Lib a closer look.

Kind regards again,
Ralph
