Connecting to MySQL

Hello. I read this post here:

So I know it is possible to connect to a MySQL database. I don't any much about databases but I've been pulling my hair on this one. How can I use the MySQL Lib (posted on that link-thread) to connect to a MySQL database. Do I need to use the HTTP lib? There is no documentation nor any examples included with that MySQL lib.

Please help...

Well, in my experience so far with the forum I've learned that if a topic fades away into silence it's because the requested help is impossible to implement or there is no solution to the problem. No problem with me, I'll try to find a different way.
