Well the update to this would be ..... I just saw today (by accident on one of our "news" channels) ....
Vodacom a main cellphone provider has announced that it will REDUCE its data charges across all offering by 30% from 1 April 2020. this all showed on one of those ticker-tape threads they use....
Now - - -avoiding all the comments about April Fool's Day - - - here's the real kicker :
The next ticker tape line said : THE SAVING TO CONSUMERS WILL BE 2.7billion ZAR
What shock ! They have been gouging us for all these years
