Designer color numbers vs names

To set colors for a view in Designer, a color must be selected from a list of color samples and names. At some point, the name of the selected color gets changed to a set of numbers and it can be very difficult to figure out which color it is on the list because some colors are very close to each other.

My wish is that either numbers should be used in the list (especially since names are not always very meaningful) or numbers should not later be substituted for names.

I prefer much more the color selection like for GradientDrawables.
Perhaps with the alpha value disabeld and bocked at 255.
